ERIE, PA – The new Zurn Wilkins ZWFR Backflow Preventer Freeze Protection Device from Zurn Industries, LLC is making news in Lake Elsinore, CA for ending a persistent problem of freeze-damaged backflow preventers because of frequent freeze/thaw events.
The ZWFR Freeze Protection Device monitors the water temperature within the valve. When the temperature-regulating thermostat senses that water is nearing the freezing point (35°F/1.6°C), the valve opens, allowing warmer supply water to flow into the system. As the system reaches 40°F/4.4°C, the valve closes.

JAMESTOWN, NY – A retrofit office building project that includes custom, handcrafted steel windows and doors manufactured by Hope’s® recently received a prestigious Small Project Award from the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
The Hope’s Jamestown175™ Series steel windows and 5000 Series™ steel doors were installed in the building, now home to the technology startup Music Box Films. Located in Chicago’s West Loop enterprise zone, the project converted a 7,000-square-foot, two-story space into a single-story building with a mezzanine.
LOUISVILLE, KY… Metal Sales™ received the prestigious 2013 Chairman’s Award for Overall Excellence from the Metal Construction Association (MCA) at the METALCON International conference. Metal Sales was recognized for the innovative use of materials on the new Maricopa Campus of Central Arizona College.
