SEFAR® Architecture Vision Transforms Corporate Headquarters with Privacy and Light
Glass Partition System Provides a Modern Place to Work for Wascosa Employees
DEPEW, NY…Wascosa, a rail transport company, features SEFAR® Architecture Vision glass interlayer at its new Lucerne, Switzerland headquarters. The interior glass partition wall displays a striped pattern created from four different Vision fabrics inspired by Wascosa’s corporate colors. The 452 square-foot full-height partition system provides privacy and separate workspaces, yet still allows light transmission to maintain a bright and airy aesthetic.
“The glass walls featuring SEFAR Architecture’s Vision interlayer divides Wascosa’s headquarters in a well-designed and stylish fashion that reinforces their corporate identity,” says Peter Katcha, Director of North American Sales for SEFAR Architecture. “In office buildings, Vision provides a unique texture and depth quality to glass partitions while allowing light to permeate work spaces.”
Designed by architect Lussi+Halter Partner AG, the Vision fabrics were combined with SWISSDIVIDE glass partition system from Glas Trösch to deliver a striking look for the office space. The combination of metal-coated fabrics harmonize with each other seamlessly.
“This is a unique material for use in interior glass partition systems. We encountered no issues with the lamination of the fabric or the installation of the finished partition system,” says Rouven Seidler, key account manager at Glas Trösch AG, the installer of the project. “The end result creates privacy for the work environment and is visually stunning, especially with the combination of four different metals.”
The architect also specified a similar SEFAR Architecture Vision installation for the 161,458 square-foot façade of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) new headquarters, one of Wascosa’s customers.
SEFAR® Architecture Vision is a metal-coated precision fabric interlayer, typically laminated within glass or other transparent materials, to create unique aesthetic design possibilities in exterior glass facades, windows and interior and decorative glass partition wall systems.
With its unique metal coatings and mesh configurations, SEFAR Architecture Vision offers an unparalleled aesthetic compared to other interlayer and glazing products. It
utilizes metal-coated fabrics with various apertures to create depth and a reflective quality without overwhelming glare.
Vision materials can be metal coated on one or both sides to produce the desired effect, and are also printable with UV stabilized inks to produce Pantone colors, patterns, and other design effects.
SEFAR Architecture Vision fabrics are available in a variety of metal coatings, aperture percentages (25-70%), light transmission percentages (18-60%) and in plain or twill weaves.
In addition to SEFAR Architecture, members of the project team included architect Lussi+Halter Partner AG, Lucerne, Switzerland, general contractor Anliker AG, Lucerne, Switzerland and installer Glas Trösch AG, Steffisburg, Switzerland.
