Zurn Scores a Retrofit Slam Dunk with New Cost-Saving Stainless Steel Floor Sink Liner
No Caulking Needed: Liner Easily Drops into Existing Floor Sinks, Providing the Most Secure Seal Available
ERIE, PA – The retrofit of floor sinks is now more convenient and more secure–and can provide a cost savings of up to 50 percent–with the introduction of the Zurn Stainless Steel Floor Sink Liner from Zurn Industries, LLC.
The new Zurn Z1900 series Stainless Steel Floor Sink Liner features a universal design that fits most floor sinks and its simple drop-in design eliminates costly reconstruction and production downtime. Traditional retrofit construction often involves ripping out concrete, creating a dust barrier–or the temporary removal of product–to avoid contamination, and then the clean-up and re-stocking steps. This Zurn retrofit solution avoids these headaches, saving time and money.
Two Zurn innovations with this new liner remove the need for caulking to create a secure seal: an underneath gasket connection and a lip-edged trim that provides a tight seal at the top of the floor sink where the Zurn Stainless Steel Floor Sink Liner drops in.
“The improved seal contributes to improved sanitation, as does the stainless steel surface,” says Matt Lawrence, Product Manager for Zurn Specification Drainage, “This is an important consideration for the primary markets using floor sinks–commercial food service, food processing and healthcare.” The new liner is available in diverse grating options to suit various applications.
The new Zurn Stainless Steel Floor Sink Liner connects easily with common piping styles and will fit a number of differently sized floor sinks, including the four most popular: 12” x 12” (with depths of either 6”, 8”, or 10”) and 8” x 8” with a 6” depth.
The Zurn Z1900 series is an 18-gauge, all type 304 (CF8) fabricated stainless steel replacement floor sink liner, with internal pipe gasket seal, light-duty slotted, loose set grate, and perforated removable dome strainer.
