The Positive Reviews Flow Easily for the New Zurn Aqua-FIT™ Sensor Faucet System

Customer “Definitely Pleased” with Performance in Raleigh’s CapTrust Tower

Publish Date: Tuesday, February 24, 2015

ERIE, PA – The new, patent-pending Zurn Aqua-FIT™ Sensor Faucet System, manufactured by Zurn Industries, LLC, the leader in engineered water solutions, has received rave reviews from the building management of the CapTrust Tower in Raleigh, NC.

The Zurn Aqua-FIT Sensor Faucet System was installed on the 15th floor after the building’s management firm, Kane Realty Corporation, decided that the water flow from the existing restroom faucets was inadequate, inconsistent and incompatible with the first-class environment they provide tenants.

“We love the look of the Zurn faucets and we definitely are pleased that the Aqua-FITä faucet provides an improved flow as desired,” says George Boyette, Chief Engineer, Kane Realty. “We have nothing but good things to say about this Zurn installation.”

Sleek, durable and modular, the Zurn Aqua-FIT Sensor Faucet System features a universal mount for rapid installation. The system allows a building owner to achieve a fresh look to restrooms anytime in the future by simply changing out the spout with one simple tool, while the remainder of the system stays in place.

The spouts are a sculpted, seamless all cast brass design, brilliantly polished with a chrome-plated finish. This one-piece design protects against both vandalism and potential bacteria growth.

The Zurn Aqua-FIT Sensor Faucet System also enables building owners to choose their desired level of water conservation per each tenant’s wishes, since the system is available with low-flow outlets down to 0.35 gallons per-minute, and its time-out activation is easily adjustable. In addition, the Aqua-FIT system can be powered by lithium batteries for 10-plus years of operation.

The Zurn Aqua-FIT Sensor Faucet System allows for simple field-adjustable settings–Purge, Time, Metering Mode, and Sensor Resolution–making the system easy to specify and maintain for a wide variety of requirements and environments. The sensor and electronics installation requires just a simple snap-lock connection.

“The Aqua-FIT system is in a class of its own, and was engineered for ultimate flexibility for both today and tomorrow,” says Sean Chenard, Product Manager, Commercial Brass Operations for Zurn. “In fact, the F-I-T in ‘Aqua-FIT’ is an acronym for ‘Flexible Installation Technology.’”

The first of several office buildings for Raleigh’s new North Hills development, CapTrust Tower is 17 stories high, encompassing 300,000 square feet of mixed-use Class A office space, plus retail and restaurants. It achieved LEEDâ Gold certification.

CapTrust Tower opened in 2009. Zurn provided all of the flush valves in the building and the tower is equipped with 25 Zurn Pint Urinals, an ultra low consumption urinal delivering 88% water savings compared to the one-gallon industry standard models. Boyette (the chief engineer) says he expects other restrooms in CapTrust Tower to be retrofitted with the Zurn Aqua-FIT Sensor Faucet System.
