Viracon Launches ViraconGlass iPad App

Next-Generation Planning Tool ‘Takes Guesswork Out of Glass’

Publish Date: Thursday, July 10, 2014

OWATONNA, MN… Architects and designers can now download the ViraconGlass iPad app from the App Store to visualize their glass selections. ViraconGlass was unveiled at the AIA National Convention in Chicago, June 26‒28.

To download the app, visit the iOS App Store using an iPad or iPad Mini and search for “Viracon.”

The app allows users to select from 25 different coatings on 15 substrates, presenting transmitted and reflective glass color on a variety of building types. The models can then be viewed under different lighting conditions from both interior and exterior perspectives and can be compared to one another.

With a specific glass project in mind, users can also explore size capability by dragging a corner or entering the dimensions manually in the Sizing Tool. Navigating Viracon’s range of glass products is straightforward with side-by-side comparisons and product performance information. ViraconGlass is a valuable tool for architects and designers researching the best glass for their projects, making the options easy to envision and simple to compose.

“We know that our customers have a need to understand glass color when planning their designs, so we created a tool that shows glass color as well performance data and sizing,” says Kevin Anez, Director of Marketing and Product Development. “ViraconGlass takes the guesswork out of glass so that designers can better understand what they need quickly and efficiently.”
