OWATONNA, MN… Attractive aesthetics and cutting-edge energy performance combine in the newest substrate from Viracon, the nation’s leading single-source architectural glass fabricator. Graphite Blue™ provides vast design possibilities – without sacrificing energy efficiency.

An attractive light blue-grey color, Graphite Blue allows high levels of visible light transmission as well as low interior and exterior reflectivity. If used with one of Viracon’s Low-E coatings, it also achieves excellent solar control and reduced glare. Graphite Blue contributes to light to solar gain ratios as high as 1.87 when combined with a high-performance coating.

Graphite Blue enhances a variety of installation types. It can be incorporated into insulating glass units, laminated make-ups or used monolithically. Available in 1/4”, 5/16” and 3/8” thicknesses to accommodate varying design specifications, it can also be heat-treated.

The substrate provides incredible aesthetic flexibility. It can be silk-screened or digitally printed, allowing for virtually unlimited design options.

“Viracon prides itself on responding to the needs of the industry,” says Kevin Anez, Director of Marketing and Product Management at Viracon. “With Graphite Blue, designers and architects can achieve both their design and performance goals."

In addition to Graphite Blue, Viracon offers a variety of other tinted substrates, as well as clear and low iron glass substrates.
