TEC® Products Help Customers Achieve Success at 2015 Starnet Awards
Winning Projects Rely on TEC® Products
AURORA, IL…TEC® products were used in two winning projects in the 15th Annual Starnet Design Awards, held April 17 in Tucson, AZ.
The awards were held as part of the Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership’s Annual Meeting. These awards highlight cooperation between Starnet members and the architecture and design community, and recognize inventive uses of flooring in commercial design. Winning projects were selected by a panel of architecture and design professionals.
Interior Surface Enterprises LLC, Olathe, KS, won gold in the healthcare category for their work at the 39 Rainbow Healthcare Facility. This facility, part of the University of Kansas, incorporates restaurants and retail shops on its ground floor, with transitional care and impatient acute rehab above. Interior Surface Enterprises installed carpet and luxury vinyl tile to create a welcoming, yet durable floor. Interior Surface Enterprises relied on TEC® products to complete the installation.
Lane’s Floor Coverings & Interiors, Inc. was the Environmental Achievement Challenge winner. They helped renovate the International Arrivals Terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport. They installed Freestyle Flooring Tile over existing rubber tile using TEC® products.
CHAPCO®, the sister brand of TEC®, was also used in an award-winning project. H.J. Martin and Son, Inc. won bronze in the education category. North Greenville Elementary School is a new K-4 instructional facility, and it now features large, collaborative spaces with fun colors and patterns. H.J. Martin used CHAPCO® Defender™ (an identical formula to TEC® The LiquiDAM®), CHAPCO® SmoothFinish™ (an identical formula to TEC® PerfectFinish™) and CHAPCO® Deep Fill Patch (comparable to TEC® Fast-Set Deep Patch).
