H.B. Fuller Construction Products Adds Crack Isolation Sheet Membrane to TEC® System

Easy-to-Install Product Perfect for Time-Sensitive Commercial Jobs

Publish Date: Wednesday, May 06, 2015

AURORA, IL…H.B. Fuller Construction Products has added a new surface preparation product to its TEC® system. The new TEC® Crack Isolation Sheet Membrane is an easy-to-use peel and stick underlayment designed to accompany TEC® mortars and grouts for time-sensitive, hard surface flooring commercial installations.

TEC® Crack Isolation Sheet Membrane protects ceramic tile, natural stone and other hard surface flooring from in-plane cracks and movement up to 3/8”.  It also contributes to sound suppression in commercial and residential settings.

This peel and stick product allows installers to efficiently lay the foundation for long-lasting installations. Its simple installation makes it perfect for commercial jobs that need to be available for foot traffic as soon as possible, as well as fast-track residential installs. After priming with the easy-to-use TEC® Multipurpose Primer, apply the TEC® Crack Isolation Sheet Membrane to any clean subfloor surface. Tile can be installed immediately after the product is set in place. It is eligible for a system limited warranty* when used with TEC® products.

Because it is only 40 millimeters thick without the release liner, the Crack Isolation Sheet Membrane creates lower profile finished floors. It can be used indoors over concrete**, plywood, gypsum or OSB, and over most existing vinyl, tile or natural stone floors. It meets or exceeds ANSI A118.12.
